The Sandia Sandhawk has long been a favorite of scale modelers. This ASP Peanut Scale model rocket features basswood fins, balsa nose cone, wire antennas, decals, and streamer recovery. This great looking minimum-diameter model flies on mini A engines. Kit has been newly updated and now comes with laser-cut fins, waterslide decals and completely re-written and updated instructions!
The Sandia Sandhawk was developed as an upper stage for sounding rocket systems. The Sandhawk flew three times as a single stage rocket between 1966 and 1974.
