Description
Nothing beats the world-famous sports car, the Corvette. Designed by Zora Arkus-Duntov, the 3rd generation C3 body was patterned after the Mako Shark II show car designed in 1965. The C3 body was manufactured from 1968 through to 1982 and is considered by many to be the most beautiful of all 8 generations. Not only is the Corvette one of the coolest looking American sports cars, it’s also one of the fastest. Able to run at 140 mph with little to no effort, specific tires were designed to reliably sustain and stabilize the car at such high speeds.
In an effort to pack more punch in less space, Chevrolet focused on smaller-displacement engines and in 1970, they introduced the LT-1. A 350 cubic inch engine with factory rated 370 horsepower. An unprecedented size and number for sports cars at the time.
To top off this beauty, AFX put some exclusive wildfire flames on the hood and fenders. They did not appear on the real car in 1970. However, these custom designed flames add next level fierceness to an already savage sports car.
The Mega-G+ is easily the lightest chassis you can buy. Add that to the lowest center of gravity and you get a car that is fast and nimble. Most realistic. Best Performance. Fun to drive. What a combination!
The AFX Mega-G+ HO slot cars are best driven with a 90 or 120 ohm controller such as the AFX 21036 120 ohm controller.
Chassis: Mega-G+ Short (1.5 inch) wheelbase chassis without the body clip
