The AFX Turbo is back and better than ever! This Bulldog Racing AFX Turbo (1.5 inch wheelbase) HO slot car chassis fits modern AFX and Auto World X-Traction 1.5" wheelbase sedan style bodies including the Chaparral 2D, Cobra Daytona Coupe and the Ford GT40. Also, fits Tomy AFX Super G+, Racing Turbo, SRT and Aurora AFX Magna-Traction HO slot car bodies from the past. The AFX Turbo is one of the all-time most reliable HO slot car chassis ever made, which makes it great for those who want great performance without having to do a lot of tuning!
Bulldog HO Racing has improved the original Tomy AFX Turbo by enclosing the holes of the front axle to keep it from popping out in a crash. They even added extra holes for a longer wheelbase option to aid with Lexan bodies and those that like to mold their own resin bodies. Additional improvements include pickup shoe bumpers to keep them from flying off in a crash and motor supports have been modified to hold the motor firmer in the chassis.

The Bulldog AFX Turbo HO chassis is best driven with a 55 to 70 ohm controller such as the original 8630 Tomy AFX controller (no red lettering on the top of the handle) or the Auto World thumb style controller.
Features: steel guide pin, durable Nylatron chassis material, 6 ohm can motor, 7T/23T pinion & crown gear, front & rear medium compound silicone tires, high conductivity phosphor bronze large pad pickup shoes & hangers, .008" pickup shoe springs, wide traction bar magnet, fully assembled and ready to race on most HO scale slot car tracks including AFX, Auto World, Life Like, Tyco, etc.
Includes: 1 - AFX Turbo short wheelbase HO slot car chassis.
Note: This AFX Turbo chassis is NOT compatible with Tomy AFX Formula 1 style HO slot car bodies. Recommended for ages 14 to adult.

My Favorite!
Getting back into slot cars after some time off, we ordered and tried several different cars to find the one we wanted. The Bulldog was the hands down winner. Oil it up, set the pickup shoes to ride flat on the rails and squeeze the throttle! This car is so versatile and parts are readily available. By versatile I mean, one car can be run four different ways. Pull the magnet retainer, pull the magnet and put the brass weight in place, put the Viper Pro 10 magnet in, put the Neo magnet holder and Neo magnets in. Four completely different cars just like that. Like driving with rear end loose, use the brass weight or the stock magnet. Want more traction, use the Viper Pro 10 or Neo magnets. It's that simple! We use Auto World X-Traction bodies and they fit great (minor mods on some). The price on this chassis is a hair more than an Auto World chassis and these are way better. Don't buy one, buy two and a boat load of parts!
