Description

The MKII was a refined version of the original GT. Holman and Moody entered the white, black and green #95 GT40 MkII in 1966 at the famous racetrack in Daytona, Florida. This was the first year the Daytona race would be a 24 hour event, making the challenge for the car and drivers that much harder. The #95 proved to have enough speed, endurance and durability to hold second place for much of the race. But the drivers Mark Donohue and Walt Hansgen were directed by Ford’s team to fall back and finish second allowing for a 1-2-3-5 record-breaking sweep.

The Mega-G+ is easily the lightest chassis you can buy. Add that to the lowest center of gravity and you get a car that is fast and nimble. Most realistic. Best Performance. Fun to drive. What a combination!

The AFX Mega-G+ HO slot cars are best driven with a 90 or 120 ohm controller such as the AFX 21036 120 ohm controller.

Chassis: Mega-G+ Short (1.5 inch) wheelbase chassis

Features: clear windows, extra long tapered guide pin, level 30 neodymium traction magnets, durable Nylatron chassis material, long lasting high carbon motor brushes, fully assembled and ready to race on most HO scale slot car tracks including AFX, Auto World, Life Like, Tyco, etc.

Includes:  1 - Ford GT40 Mark II #95 HO slot car.

Note:  Recommended for ages 8 to adult.

Great price for a great race car.

This Ford GT has really excellent details for an HO scale slot car. The mechanical parts are well engineered for being a slot car this scale.

As with many others, the rear wheel opening on the right rear is grossly off. I’ll be sending in a warranty ticket
