Description
This Ford Mustang Boss 429 has all the details of the real 1970 model with a flat black hood scoop, trademark rear spoiler and Boss 429 logos on each front fender. Just as the Mustang Boss 429 is a powerful muscle car, so is this AFX HO slot car version with it's FN20 powered long wheelbase Mega-G+ chassis, tricked out chrome wheels and grippy tires. It's time to show the Camaro who the real Boss is!The Mega-G+ is easily the lightest chassis you can buy. Add that to the lowest center of gravity and you get a car that is fast and nimble. Most realistic. Best Performance. Fun to drive. What a combination!
The AFX Mega-G+ HO slot cars are best driven with a 90 or 120 ohm controller such as the AFX 21036 120 ohm controller.
Chassis: Mega-G+ Long (1.7 inch) wheelbase chassis
Features: extra long tapered guide pin, neo dymium traction magnets, durable Nylatron chassis material, long lasting high carbon motor brushes, fully assembled and ready to race on most HO scale slot car tracks including AFX, Auto World, Life Like, Tyco, etc.

AFX Mega-G+ Mustang Boss 429 HO
Very accurate replica of one of nicest Mustangs ever to come out of Detroit. AFX needs to make this Mustang available in all of the original paint color options.

The car looks great, good detail.
On the AFX cars it seems like I need to do something out of the box to get them to run good. Most of the times it’s either the pinion gear is off center and I have to put a new one in or the circuit board needs to be pushed in all the way to get the pickup shoes to work properly. Also need to tape the cardboard insert in so it doesn’t rub the tires. After that they run great.

AFX Mega-G+ Boss Mustang 429
Beautiflully detailed car. The micro printing is amazing. Car runs smoothly. Not terribly fast.

Mustang
Finding out of the box the Mega -G Plus are not as fast as Life Like and my Life Likes are from the 90's but they do beat my old Tyco 440x2's.
