Description
In 1940, the Santa Fe Railway began painting freight cars as rolling advertisements. Refrigerator cars, box cars, and auto cars were decorated with a system map on one side and train name slogans on the other.
This Bachmann HO Silver Series Sante Fe Grand Canyon 40' box car features an operating sliding door, prototypical graphics, blackened/machined metal wheels w/ RP-25 contours, magnetically operated/body mounted E-Z Mate Mark II couplers, non-magnetic/blackened brass axles w/ needlepoint bearings, Celcon trucks and added weight for optimum tracking. Fully assembled and ready-to-run. For use on an HO scale (1:87) train track.
