Description
SRT stands for Super Racing Turbo and this one lives up to it's name with high downforce neo traction magnets and revised gearing that gives better acceleration. This Bulldog Racing AFX SRT (1.5 inch wheelbase) HO slot car chassis fits modern AFX and Auto World X-Traction 1.5" wheelbase sedan style bodies including the Chaparral 2D, Cobra Daytona Coupe and the Ford GT40. Also, fits Tomy AFX Super G+, Racing Turbo, SRT and Aurora AFX Magna-Traction HO slot car bodies from the past. The SRT offers a step up in handling in comparison to the original AFX Turbo.
Bulldog HO Racing has improved the original Tomy AFX SRT chassis by enclosing the the holes of the front axle to keep it from popping out in a crash. They even added extra holes for a longer wheelbase option to aid with Lexan bodies and those that like to mold their own resin bodies. Additional improvements include pickup shoe bumpers to keep them from flying off in a crash and motor supports have been modified to hold the motor firmer in the chassis.
The Bulldog AFX SRT HO chassis is best driven with a 45 to 60 ohm controller such as the original 8630 Tomy AFX controller (no red lettering on the top of the handle) or the Auto World thumb style controller.
Features: steel guide pin, durable Nylatron chassis material, 6 ohm can motor, 7T/25T pinion & crown gear, front & rear medium compound silicone tires, high conductivity phosphor bronze large pad pickup shoes & hangers, .008" pickup shoe springs, N35 Neo traction magnets, fully assembled and ready to race on most HO scale slot car tracks including AFX, Auto World, Life Like, Tyco, etc.

Note: This AFX SRT chassis is NOT compatible with Tomy AFX Formula 1 style HO slot car bodies. Recommended for ages 14 to adult.

You can't go wrong
The 7886 has quickly become my go-to chassis for 1:64 die cast conversions. It is also amazingly fast and sticky in its own right. Having the options to change gear ratios and magnets makes fitting this chassis easy to a wide variety of vehicles. Of all conversions, semi trucks are my favorite. Everything from DCP to Racing Champions to Winross, the 7886 makes for an easy match. Some of the trucks weigh close to 2lbs and the 7886 can pull them up a 12% grade (my track has multiple levels) where none of the others I’ve tried can. Let’s just say that you can’t go wrong with the 7886 and BRS Hobbies is the place to get them.

Bulldog AFX SRT HO Slot Car Chassis
I only found the AFT SRT's after they were out of production. I really like these cars, how they drive and bought what was out there at a good price. These chassis replicate them perfectly. There is no need for a clip for the bodies. It is a double-edged sword. It cost less without needing a clip, but you can't use other bodies by just switching the clip.
