Short (1/4) Centerset Shank. The Kadee #23 insulated, self-centering coupler has a very strong plastic shank to insulate the coupler from the car, the knuckle and trip pin are made of metal. The #23 Coupler easily installs in existing Talgo-mounted draft gear boxes or can be body mounted with a supplied #234 draft gear box with side screw holes for mounting or with the supplied #213 Universal Adaptor Plate.
