As a guide: less crown gear teeth = more speed; more crown gear teeth = better acceleration. The precise, calibrated interior diameter of the gear is 2.38 mm (3/32), standard for NINCO Lightning, Racer, SCX, Slot It and most other brands of 1:32 slot cars.
