Zap Rail Zip 2 is an advanced technology track cleaner & corrosion inhibitor that restores electrical conductivity, is safe on plastics and penetrates existing corrosion. Rail Zip 2 is ideal for model railroad track, slot car track and all electrical connections.
HO Slot Car Pro Tip - Put a few drops of Rail Zip 2 on a cotton swap and rub it on the pickup shoes. Once the pickup shoes are clean, use the cotton swap a second time to apply a thin layer of Rail Zip 2 on the pickup shoes and run the car on one lane of the track for a few laps. Repeat the process for the other lanes. This process will result in a noticeable increase in the acceleration and speed of the slot cars on the track.

It works
Used Rail Zip 2 on my HO scale race track and it works as described, applied to rails, let stand overnight and to my surprise the rails are cleaner, and the entire track surface has a clean fresh look to it, and dust collection on track is reduced, Rail Zip 2 works.
